About St.Vincent DePaul Health Center

St. Vincent dePaul Health Center is a health service providing free preventive and primary care to those who are homeless, have low income and/or lack health insurance.    In September 1998, CHS, Inc. accepted an invitation from the Salvation Army to provide health services at its homeless shelter in downtown Augusta.  This move has proven to be an excellent cooperative effort on the part of both agencies, as it has improved access to health services to those most in need.  St. Vincent DePaul Health Center is staffed by a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, an outreach Nurse, and a Clinical Assistant.  The Center operates under the medical direction of a physician.
